The Introduction: Framework 42
Walk the conversational onboarding Plane by Plane, approve artifacts, grant permissions, and discover your Constellation.
Framework 42 is your starting point in o42. It’s not a form or a step-by-step wizard: it’s a conversation with «o» that walks through your four Planes of life.
What you need before you start
- An AI model already connected (see Initial setup). If you haven’t, «o» will ask for one before starting.
- A real contact in mind for the Relationships step.
How the conversation works
Start from the hero card on your dashboard, and one click opens it full-screen. The conversation runs in turns: «o» speaks on the left, you reply on the right, with the text field and the model selector at the bottom. It’s fully resumable: close it and come back exactly where you left off.

Onboarding moves Plane by Plane, and each one opens with its own intro card.
Plane 1 · Productivity
«o» talks with you about what you want to move forward, and proposes a first artifact: a Project with its Goal, which you confirm. It then suggests an icon and asks permission to read local files, explaining why, so you decide to allow or defer, sovereignty always. Then comes the heart of o42: «o» recommends a Mental Model, the reasoning lens it will use to plan the steps toward your goal (use the suggested one or switch it), and generates concrete tasks you review: accept, regenerate, or skip. Nothing saves without your say-so.
Plane 2 · Relationships
«o» asks permission to access Contacts, again explaining why, and helps you identify the person who matters most right now through an autocomplete search.
Planes 3 and 4 · Community and Wellbeing
They follow the same pattern: you converse, «o» proposes artifacts, and you confirm them. In Wellbeing you define your first commitments.
Between Planes there’s a voluntary gate: continue now or defer. You set the pace.
The payoff: your Constellation
When you complete your first Plane, «o» reflects back what it learned about you so you can accept or correct it. That reflection feeds the finale: «o» composes your Constellation, your personal set of AI entities spread across the four Planes.
By the end of Framework 42 you have live projects, relationships, and commitments, and a Constellation ready to work with you.
